by Mihai on August 9, 2012

We’ve previously got word that the redesigned Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will be launched in Hong Kong on August 16th but, as much as we’d like to see the highly anticipated Note 10.1 being launched on a global scale on the same day, this will not going to happen. Nevertheless, Samsung has finally decided to spill the beans and has revealed a very decent timeslot on when we can expect their upcoming tablet to hit the shelves.

Furthermore, they have also prepared a nice video for us that shows-off some of the most interesting features we’ve seen so far in relation with the S-Pen. Want to see the Note in action and learn when you can expect to see the Note 10.1 in stores? Join us after the break!

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Release Date

You may or may not be already aware of this, but Samsung has also sent out press invites for their bit event that will take place on August 15 in US, where it’s said that the Note 10.1 will get officially announced. That being said, we’ve speculated before that Samsung’s upcoming tablet should get released on the market by the end of the month. Well, in case you hoped this will be the case then you’re in for a great surprise because Samsung has recently revealed that their plan is to launch the Note 10.1 on a global scale by the end of August.

The company has not revealed specific dates for specific regions, but I suppose it’s safe to assume that it will all happen between August 15th and 31st.

As to what the tablet has to offer in terms of hardware, the Note 10.1 is equipped with a quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos processor, 2 GB of RAM (yep, specs have been bumped recently and it’s 2 GB instead of 1GB), a 10.1 inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a 7000 mAh battery, 64 GB of internal storage expandable by up to 32 GB via microSD / microSDHC and will be offered with Wi-Fi-only connectivity as well as 3G or LTE. The 4G-capable device is expected to hit the market later this year.

Are you planning to make the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 your next tablet? Will you pick this one instead of the iPad 3? Well, check out the video preview below if you wish to learn more about what the Note has to offer, and feel free to drop us a line.

Thanks The Verge for the heads-up regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
