Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.1.2: Live at Rogers, TELUS, Bell ..
After the release date of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.1.2 has been rumored back in November, nearly two weeks before the end of year 2012 the handset in question has finally received the update. As usual, the deployment process expands slowly, but surely, in other regions and despite initial rumors that every Note 2 unit out there should benefit from version 4.1.2 within the December-January timeframe, it didn’t actually happen.
Nothing out of the ordinary really, as software updates tend to come a bit later than predicted or announced, but the good news is that the update in question has finally arrived in Canada.

In case you happen to own Samsung’s second phablet in Canada via Rogers, TELUS, Bell or SaskTel, you should now be able to download and apply this latest software update on your device. As usual, you can either pull it from the servers (over-the-air) or through KIES, but whichever method you prefer you’ll benefit from the same goodies.
The changelog includes a handful of new features, one of which is the sought after Multi Window feature. As explained on numerous occasions before, Multi Window allows you to have two applications on-screen, at the same time, turning your Note 2 into a true productivity tool capable of real multitasking.
Other features included in this update come in the form of browser performance enhancements, a new Group Cast app, a customizable notification panel, the addition of new notification toggles, a new ink effect on the lockscreen and more.
In case you haven’t received the update yet then make sure you perform a manual check by heading down to the Software update menu via Settings.
Feel free to drop us a line and in the meantime we’ll keep an eye out on Mobilicity, Videotron and WIND, and hopefully they’ll release the new OS soon.
