It hasn’t been too long since the previous rumor concerning the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has surfaced and now we’re once again turning our attention to the manufacturer’s upcoming phablet.
Last time we’ve talked about the Note 2 we’ve considered the possibility of some revolutionary tech being fitted on the device, and we have also checked out an alleged official render that has been leaked on the blogosphere. Now a new picture has surfaced depicting the front panel of the device. This however is not a render, it’s the real deal and interestingly enough, the leaked image reveals some interesting aspects about the already highly-anticipated Note 2. Take a look for yourself and check back after the break for a few details.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2
First of all, let’s get on with the obvious stuff. The ruler placed on the front panel indicates that the display will measure roughly 14 cm, so that confirms initial reports about a 5.5 inch screen on the upcoming Note 2.
However if you measure the sides of the screen you will notice that the screen’s aspect ratio is 16:9 instead of 16:10, making the Note 2 a full widescreen device. If this is truly the case then the Note 2 will be much easier to handle than its predecessor.
Furthermore we see that the button design remains the same as the Samsung Galaxy S3 where you have the Home physical button in the middle, paired up with one capacitive buttons on each side. We should also point out that this particular photo is already inconsistent with the previously leaked render because the Home button is narrower this time and the proximity sensors are placed between the front facing camera and the ear speaker.
So overall, this particular leaked photo that came from the French website Nowhereelse seems quite convincing especially if we’re taking a closer look at the background and notice that the photo might’ve been taken on the production line of the device.
Nevertheless, Samsung has taken some pretty radical measures to dispel rumors in the past and they’ve came as far as to release alternative designs for the Galaxy S3 themselves. That being said, the picture above is very convincing but keep in mind that there’s a small possibility this might not Note 2′s front panel after all.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 – Launch and Release Date Rumors
The good news is that we won’t have to wait for too long before we find out what there’s to know about the Note 2 because the handset is expected to be unveiled on August 29 in Berlin and is also expected to hit the market in September, so we’re bound to find out more info soon enough. We’ll keep you posted.
