I don’t think the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 needs an introduction anymore. It’s basically one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year and the only reason why I don’t claim it’s the most anticipated one yet is because of its smaller sibling, the Galaxy S3.
Nevertheless, the Note 2 really managed to gain attention, not only because initial rumors indicated that we’re going to see some pretty revolutionary tech, but because its predecessor, the original Galaxy Note, was a success as well. Not many believed in it, but Samsung managed to figure out that there’s a segment on the market that needs to be filled (the so called phablet segment) and the company was able to capitalize on it.
Now that the Note 2 is supposed to be officially unveiled tomorrow, many Android enthusiasts – including myself – are starting to lose their patience. Thankfully we were able to recently get our hands on a set of new rumors that might keep you busy for a while.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Release Date
We’ve speculated before that the release date of the Note 2 might not be far away from its initial debut. We’ve suspected this because the Galaxy S3 was released roughly one month after its debut, and in all fairness we can’t really see any reasons why the Note 2 shouldn’t follow in its footsteps.
Well, a fresh leak concerning the phablet and its release date has been unveiled by SamMobile, the fan page dedicated in debunking Samsung-related mysteries. Word around the campfire is that the Galaxy Note 2 (also known by its model number GT-N7100) is going to be launched in the 40th week of the year. That’s sometime within the October 1st -7th timeslot.
Furthermore, SamMobile’s sources are claiming that alongside the Note 2, a new “titan grey” Galaxy S3 variant will hit the market at the same time.
Last but not least, the Note 2 will allegedly hit the market in two flavors as well, one that is known as “ceramic white” and the other that is currently “to be determined”. Our money goes on “titan grey” or black.
We’ll keep you posted as we’ll definitely find out more about the Note tomorrow, and during the following weeks. Stay tuned!
