Surprisingly enough, the Samsung Galaxy Note was quite the success when it launched last year. Despite being out on the market for so long, the Samsung Galaxy Note is yet to reach T-Mobile in the US and, as some of you might know, we did quickly cover the phablet’s arrival at the Magenta carrier. Sadly, by the look of things, T-Mobile might be late at the party after all as it has been confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is going to be unveiled at the end of August, with its release date being, most probably, set soon after.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 To Be Unveiled Soon
The news came via Reuters and it appears that Samsung will be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at an event on August 29th. During the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin, the next Galaxy Note will appear in front of the world. This is roughly two weeks before Apple is rumored to announce its next iPhone.
Not only that, but this event is just two days before the IFA electronics trade fair, an event that worked well for the Korean giant last year as well.
According to the information, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will come with a 5.5-inch display, improved processor and improved camera. We covered some of the rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 2 specifications in an earlier article, so I will not dwell on those too long.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 To Be Unveiled At The End Of August - Release Date: Soon After?
We also heard some rumors earlier that Samsung is planning to unveil a new Galaxy device on August 15, but we cannot know for sure if we are dealing with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 here.
Anyway, these are good news for all you Samsung fans out there, since the company is currently leading the smartphone market. The Korean manufacturer managed to double the sales of iPhones, seeing as those are dropping with users waiting to see the latest iPhone from the Cupertino based company.
With the two companies being engaged in quite the slugfest in the US in terms of patents, we find this upcoming announcement as another statement from Samsung that they are hell-bent on keeping that first spot in the smartphones market.
