Samsung Galaxy Note Release Date at AT&T: Approaching Quickly ?

by Catalin Mengheris on January 21, 2012

One of the best signs that a device is close to hitting the market is if we get to see it pass through the FCC. This time around we have one of our personal favorites, the Samsung Galaxy Note. The device was first announced back last year in Berlin and since its launch in Europe, it has been selling in great numbers, the only thing stopping it from bringing some more cash into the pockets of those at Samsung being the launch of the device in the US. But the Samsung Galaxy Note release date at AT&T seems to be approaching quickly!

Although we already knew that the half tablet, half smartphone, half gerbil (scratch the last part) device would be arriving on AT&T, it’s now as “official” as it gets.

Samsung Galaxy Note Release Date at AT&T

Even if we don’t have an official Samsung Galaxy Note release date, a mobile accessories manufacturer has recently spilled the beans (just before CES) that the device will hit shelves in “early” 2012 (End of January ? February ?).

The Samsung Galaxy Note passed through the FCC and we got to see 21Mbps UMTS/HSPA+ along with GSM 850/1900 bands as well as band 4 and 17 LTE radios. Not only that, but the Samsung Galaxy Note is also coming with support for NFC along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There are only a few unknowns left surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note US version.

If you think that the US model will be identical to the international one, you’re in for a surprise. Aside from those changes that are inevitably coming to the US models of Samsung’s toys it seems that US Samsung Galaxy Note will come with another processor than the “normal” model.

For the time being pricing as well as a certain AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note release date are both still missing.

If you are looking to pick up a new device, the 5.3 inch Super AMOLED HD, the 1.5GHz dual-core processor, along with the tons of features (did you know about Note’s awesome S-Pen ?) should make the Samsung Galaxy Note one of your top devices to get in this period of the year.

If you plan on picking up the Samsung Galaxy Note on AT&T drop us a line and make sure to stay tuned as well post any news on it as soon as it comes out!

I have not anticipated a cell phone this much In a long time! I check online several times a day to see when I can get my grubby hands on the Note! I am even thinking about just purchasing the European version (in white of course) just because the wait has been so long. By the time Android devices arrive in the US it’s usually outdated and something better comes out literally right after. I also prefer the hardware of the european version with the physical home button. Ill wait a few more weeks of a wait for the US version then if it’s not out by end of February I’ll just cave in and have one shipped online from overseas. Regardless this thing like Apple says about their products is going to be “magical!” Cheers! -Manny-

Hey Manny, I’m with you I can’t wait until they release the darn thing here in the U.S., I was thinking about getting the European version myself, but I don’t know how I would go about doing that. I like the physical home button to compared to the U.S. version. I sure wish I knew how to get my hands on one. I’m hearing to it may come to some other carriers besides just AT&T. Keep me posted on anything new.

Tempted to get the European version but I am concerned about the compatibility with ATT LTE network. Rumor has it that the phone is scheduled to release on Febuary 14th and I am holding my breath for it.
