The Samsung Galaxy S2 was a huge success and brought a lot of profit to the company, and in case you’re curious how successful it was, Samsung reported that more than 20 million S2 units have been sold until February 2012.
The Galaxy S3 then came along and managed to achieve half of those sales figures before the device has been launched on the market. All in all, the Galaxy S2 remains a great phone, but its time on the high-end segment came to an end. Nevertheless it still is one of the best mid-ranged phones the market has to offer, and the Samsung Galaxy S2 4G at Boost Mobile might be one of the best choices in case you’re looking for a mid-ranged device at an affordable price. Samsung Galaxy S2 4G at Boost Mobile – Specs
As mentioned before, the Samsung Galaxy S2 4G at Boost Mobile is basically a rebranded Sprint Epic Touch 4G. However, considering the offer Boost Mobile has in store for their customers we believe that this gadget doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
The S2 4G rocks a 4.52 Super AMOLED Plus with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and 206 ppi pixel density, a dual-core Exynos chip running at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage expandable by up to 32 GB via microSD, an 8 MP camera on the back with 1080p HD video recording capabilities, a 2 MP camera on the front and a 1800 mAh battery to keep everything up and running.
Samsung Galaxy S2 4G Release Date and Price
Overall, the Galaxy S2 4G is basically the Epic Touch from Sprint, as we’ve already established. What isn’t the same and what makes the Boost Mobile variant so special is its price.
Basically, Sprint’s variant is currently on sale at the price of $100 alongside a 2-year agreement with the carrier, and after a $50 mail-in rebate. However, with Boost Mobile we’re talking solely about the unlocked variant and if you were to grab that one from Sprint it would set you back $500.
Meanwhile, the unlocked S2 4G at Boost will have a price tag of $370 once it hits the shelves, so we believe this to be one hell of a deal if you’re on the lookout for an unlocked mid-ranged phone. Interested in buying one? You’ll be able to do so starting with September 6th. Enjoy!
