Ever since the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been released, we’ve pointed out that the Samsung Galaxy S2 has not been made redundant – it has actually become one of the best mid-range devices available on the market. If you add the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is in the works and it will probably, hopefully, get released by the end of this month, you clearly cannot go wrong with this device (if you don’t want to shell some serious money for the latest flagship).
So, in other words, in case you’re planning on buying a mid-range device then you might be interested in what Virgin Mobile USA has to offer. More details below.
Samsung Galaxy S2 4G at Virgin Mobile USA
The aforementioned carrier is now selling the Samsung Galaxy S2 in the US at the full retail price of $370 and the device is available in two flavors including titanium and white. In case you’d like to buy the handset on-contract, Virgin Mobile offers “Beyond Talk” plans that include unlimited messaging and data for $35 per month.
As for the device itself, the 4G-enabled SGS2 comes with an Exynos dual-core CPU running at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, a 4.52 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 480 x 800 and a pixel density of 206 ppi, an 8 MP camera on the back with LED and BSI coupled with a 2 MP front-facing sensor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and a 1,800 mAh battery.
There’s no word on how much storage space Virgin’s model has, only that it you can expand its storage space by up to 32 GB via microSD, but it’s pretty safe to assume that it arrives with 16 GB of built-in storage.
