Almost everybody agrees that when Samsung Galaxy S2 will receive its Ice Cream Sandwich update, it will become, again, one of the most interesting devices (a bit under the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and maybe HTC Rezound – no HD display – and on par or slightly above Motorola’s Droid RAZR) so it’s easy to understand why the S2 owners are so hyped out about the update.
Samsung Galaxy S2 Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4 ICS)
As far as official word goes, Samsung has announced quite some time ago that the Galaxy S2 ICS update will be released sometime during Q1 2012. And indeed we’ve seen proof, in the past, that the manufacturer is actively working on the update and making progress. And guess what? We have some new pieces of evidence that the Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4 is getting closer and closer to its release date.
Although there have been a couple more leaks of the official ICS build, the latest one to surface is better than ever. Not only is this Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich leak the latest and best of the builds, but since it’s coming from Sammobile which has a history of leaking pre-releases from Samsung, one would assume the XXLPB leak is as close as it gets until it’s official.
Take a look at a video featuring the latest Samsung Galaxy S2 ICS build:
This Samsung Galaxy S2 ICS leak is based on the 4.0.3 version (the latest) and brings better battery life and 3D scrolling effects.
What do you guys think of this Android 4 ICS leak for the Samsung Galaxy S2 ? How are the new features looking ? Will you wait for the official release or are you tempted to try one of the custom ROMs out there ? We’ve heard good things about a certain MIUI flavored Samsung Galaxy S2 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM.
Many thanks to Android Central for letting us know of the Samsung Galaxy S2 ICS leak.
