Samsung Galaxy S2 SkyRocket HD – Release Date, Specs – Overview

by Catalin on January 16, 2012

Last year we’ve noted that AT&T lost their monopole on the iPhone 4 and with that in mind the network said that it would be massing up on Android smartphones. They did keep to their promise and they have released a huge number of new Android smartphones on their product lineup. This year seems to start off promising as well for anyone looking to get their hands on an Android. The device which did catch my eye though was the recently rumored Samsung Galaxy S2 SkyRocket HD which will be coming to the carrier.

We’ve talked about the Samsung Galaxy S2 SkyRocket a while ago when it was announced and in the meantime AT&T has also released the white version of the smartphone. But what does this new version bring to the table ? Keep on reading for specs and release date!

In case you still remember, AT&T is also bringing the Samsung Galaxy Note over to their lineup and we have seen the device suffer some changes before it will be hitting the carrier. The Samsung Galaxy S2 SkyRocket HD is using the same 1.5GHz dual-core processor, will come with 1GB of RAM and as for the display, the SkyRocket HD is coming with the same 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD display we’ve seen in action on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

If all of this is slowly but surely whispering that you should hold out for it (my vote is yes!) then make sure to check back as we’ll keep you posted on it.

Samsung Galaxy S2 SkyRocket HD Release Date

Note that for the time being we don’t have a Samsung Galaxy S2 SkyRocket HD release date, AT&T being contempt to give us, for the time being, a “in the coming months” release date.

However, seeing as a number of devices which are announced in the first quarter usually end up seeing the light of day in Q2, I’m confident that we will be getting it rather shortly. Stay tuned!
