With each passing day we’re getting more and more closer to the Samsung Galaxy S3 release date in US and Canada, so it’s only natural for a higher number of pieces of info to surface on our beloved World Wide Web. The last big news we got was that the Samsung Galaxy S3 release date in Canada has been officially announced by the manufacturer, along with the confirmation that the handset in question will indeed pack 2 GB of RAM, similar to the Japanese NTT Docomo variant we’ve laid our eyes upon a while back.
Following the official announcement concerning the Canadian launch, both the AT&T and T-Mobile versions were expected to boast the same amount of RAM solely because these two versions share the same model numbers as the Canadian SGS3s. But what about the Verizon and Sprint variants ? a lot of people asked us. Well, the manufacturer has just announced that all the US variants of the S3 will be identical: 2GB of RAM and dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4CPU
And although we haven’t heard much of them lately, the model numbers SCH-I535 and SPH-L710 emerged from the shadows quite recently when they’ve paid the FCC a brief visit.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date at Verizon
The SCH-I535 -which we’ve seen earlier on the Bluetooth SIG official website- corresponds to the Verizon variant, whereas the SPH-L710 is heading down to Sprint. Both models have shown frequency support for CDMA networks, but interestingly enough, the SCH-I535 version heading to Verizon is apparently supporting GSM and EDGE indicating that Verizon’s SGS3 should come with global roaming.
We know that Verizon will being its S3 pre-ordering campaign on June 6th (price tag: $199.99 on a two year contract). As far as a concrete release date goes we’re still in the dark but the FCC visit we talked about earlier and the fact that Samsung has stated that all the US variants will be released sometime during June makes us think that we’re very close to see the Galaxy S3 getting launched at Verizon.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date at Sprint
As far as the release of the SGS3 at Sprint is concerned things are clear now: you’ll be able to pre-order it starting with tomorrow, June 5th, while the handset will become available on June 21st (same $199.99 price tag on a two year contract with the carrier for the 16 GB version).
Stay tuned for more.
