Good news for Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 owners as the carrier has recently released a brand new update for the handset in question. No, before you ask, it’s not the highly anticipated Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3, update of which we’ve talked about some days ago. Nevertheless, updates are always welcomed (except when things go wrong as we’ve previously seen on the Galaxy Note, but that rarely happens).
That being said, check back after the break and we’ll have a look at the full changelog.
Samsung Galaxy S3 at Sprint: New Update Changelog
The latest update is labeled L710VPLG4 and as it turns out it’s not too skinny either. The latest build brings Voice Recognition improvements, security fixes and optimized LTE system selection just to name a few. Here’s the full list of changes.
So there you have it. If you find that this latest update contains fixes of improvements you sought after make sure you check your Samsung Galaxy S3 for update notifications by pressing Home > Menu > Settings > About Device and check for updates.
Keep in mind that being an OTA release it might take some time before the files reach your end, so be patient if the new build is not available to you immediately. If however you’ve managed to update your SGS3, feel free to drop us a line and share your experience with us.
In the meantime we’ll keep our eyes on the Samsung Galaxy S3 and, hopefully, next time we’re going to report an update we’ll be bring you news about Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Thanks Android Central for the heads-up regarding the new update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 at Sprint.
