Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 – Let’s See How It Shapes Up
The 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 has been unveiled not long ago, but the Korean manufacturer’s 2013 foray the tablet market is far from being over. Based on what we’ve learned so far, there’s also a 10.1 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in the making, but earlier reports have indicated that this particular tablet will not be a high-end slate. That’s the reason why we’ve previously guided you towards the rumored Samsung “Roma” for a tablet that packs more punch.
Nevertheless, according to the latest rumors, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 might not be as underpowered as previously rumored.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 – New Data
According to the latest bits of information, the Tab 3 10.1 might very well end up being a flagship device. This theory has its roots in an AnTuTu benchmark result, indicating that the GT-P5200 boasts a 1.6 GHz processor, Android 4.2.2, and delivers a score of 24,616. Now, this 1.6 GHz CPU may be the Exynos 5 Octa, which would explain the score.
But here’s where it gets a bit confusing, so bear with me. First of all, the reason why the GT-P5200 is considered the Tab 3 10.1 is because the Tab 2 10.1 had the model number “GT-P5100”. Makes sense. However, we’re also well aware of the fact that Samsung isn’t using the “GT-Pxxx” model number on its latest Tab 3 series. Instead, Samsung uses a “SM-Txxx” formula, as indicated by the 7-inch Tab 3.
However, sources claim that in the past, the 10.1 inch Tab 3 was indeed known as the GT-P5200, and this could mean that the benchmark test result was done on an earlier prototype of the device.
Nevertheless, we’re also not excluding that these results are pure hogwash, because nowadays, it’s pretty easy to fake AnTuTu benchmark results. With that in mind, treat this rumor / leak accordingly.
