There’s a lot going on behind the scenes at Google, but judging by what we’ve gathered so far, the company in Mountain View might steer the Nexus program in a different direction this year, allowing lots of smartphone manufacturers to build new devices under the “Nexus” moniker. This explains why we got so many reports lately surrounding multiple Nexus devices, including the Motorola Occam, the Google Nexus 5 or the LG Nexus 4 which is without a doubt the one that receives the greatest deal of attention.
On the other hand, it’s been somewhat quiet in Samsung’s camp lately, at least when it comes to new Google devices, but word around the campfire is that both companies might have a 10 inch tablets in the works .
Samsung / Google Nexus 10
At this point, there’s not much to tell about the 10-inch tablet but so far it’s been said that this particular device will have a mind-blowing screen resolution of 2560 x 1600, and a pixel density of 299 ppi, basically surpassing everything that has been offered by any tablet so far.
It all sounds pretty intense, but the only problem is that, according to CNET, the Google Nexus 10 might not see the light of day anytime soon and if we are to believe these latest reports, the 10-inch device will not hit the market before the first half of 2013.
Are you excited about the Nexus 10? We know we are, and we’ve begun to day dream about it, not only in terms of hardware specs, but we’re also wondering what goodies the Android OS version launched alongside the device will bring new to the table.
Thanks Droid Life for the heads-up regarding the rumored Samsung / Google Nexus 10 release time-frame.
