Sony Xperia Z in UK – What You Should Know
Is anyone excited about the Sony Xperia Z? We sure are and we really think that Sony has done a pretty good job at delivering a future top-of-the-range smartphone. The Xperia Z comes with a handful of interesting features including a 1080p display and a killer rear facing camera that could make iPhone 5 owners a bit jealous.
That being said, if you consider Sony’s upcoming flagship to be the best option for replacing your current smartphone then you might want to hear more about the Sony Xperia Z release date and price tag. More details below.
Sony Xperia Z – UK Release Date and Price
The handset in question has been unveiled during CES and although we were not given an exact release date at that time, it’s been pretty much a no-brainer that the gadget should hit the shelves sometime during Q1 2013. Well, if you happen to live in the UK you should know the Xperia Z is available for pre-order via Three, O2, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U.
Also, both the retailers and carriers are also giving you the chance to earn a set of Sony MDR-1R Prestige headphones worth £300, assuming that you’re among the first 1,000 people to pre-order the handset.
As for the device itself, Three UK is offering the Xperia Z (in black and white) at the price of £69 up-front as long as you’re willing to pay £34 a month for the next two-years. The respective plan will offer you unlimited data, 500 minutes and 5,000 texts. The gadget is also sold on Pay As You Go, and this way, the Xperia Z will set you back £449.99 instead.
O2 retails the black and purple Xperia Z on its network alongside a wide range of tariffs, the most affordable one setting you back £47 a month on a 2-year agreement. With this particular plan you’ll get your smartphone for free and you’ll benefit from 1 GB of data, 1,200 minutes of voice and unlimited text messages.
The pre-order timeframe will last until February 28, after which the smartphone will hit the UK market in full force on that very same date. Any takers?
