If you’re a Sony fan and you’re waiting for the company’s next flagship phone to hit the market, then you’ve more than likely stumbled across various reports concerning the Sony Xperia Z3. The first rumors surrounding the device went live back in May, and ever since, the Z3 continued to occasionally pop-up on our radars.
However, aside from the Xperia Z3, Sony also intends on releasing a sequel to the Z1 Compact, and despite the fact that the so-called Z3 Compact hasn’t enjoyed as much time under the spotlight as its larger sibling, earlier today we’ve come across a handful of leaked pictures depicting the alleged device. Interested in the details? Then keep on scrolling and we’ll discuss more right after the break.
Sony Xperia Z3 Gets Caught on Camera
Earlier today a handful of pics depicting the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact have leaked via the Chinese social network known as Weibo. By the looks of it, the Z3 Compact will depart from the OmniBalance design language just as much as the fully-fledged Z3. The handset has been designed with rounder edges in mind and delivers a front-facing dual-speaker setup. It’s worth noting that the smartphone caught on camera seems to be protected by a silicon cover, so you should look past the bumper when trying to make sense of the smartphone’s looks.
As far as the hardware goes, rumor has it that the handset packs a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, and that it’s being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3 GB of RAM. Last but not least, the gadget will supposedly back a 20.7 MP main shooter, so all in all, this year’s Compact shapes up to be a worthy flagship device wrapped up in a smaller shell, much like its predecessor.
What’s your take on these Sony Xperia Z3 Compact leaked shots? Would you be interested in buying the device? If the answer is “yes”, then you should also learn that the smartphone is expected to make an appearance at IFA in Berlin, after which it should go on sale by the end of September. Stick around and we’ll keep you posted.
