The Sony Xperia Z4 may have not been publicly unveiled at CES 2015, but there’s no denying that the smartphone is on its way. In fact, rumor has it that the Xperia Z4 was actually showcased behind closed doors at CES 2015 to select partners only, so the day when we’ll finally get to see what Sony’s upcoming flagship phone is all about draws near.
Until then it seems that we have more unconfirmed data to sort through, as sources from Taiwan now suggest that the Sony Xperia Z4 will be launched in two main flavors; one sporting a FHD display while the other boasting a resolution of 2K. You’ll find the rest of the story right after the break.
Sony Xperia Z4 to be sold in two main flavors?
According to sources of ePrice, the Sony Xperia Z4 might be launched in two main variants with different display resolutions. Reportedly, the model destined for the US market will sport a 2K display, but the same cannot be said for all variants across all regions. In certain markets, the source suggests that the Xperia Z4 might be limited to a FHD display.
In addition to this intriguing theory, ePrice also claims that the upcoming Sony flagship phone will have improved waterproof capabilities, in that it won’t require a flap cover for the USB port in order to keep water away from the internal components. The source also says that the front-facing camera has been improved, and that the smartphone will be treated with a glossy metal frame which will surround the smartphone’s edges. Sony will maintain a slim and lightweight chassis, while striving not to make any compromises to the phone’s battery capacity. Reportedly, the smartphone will be offered in multiple colors, one of which will be blue.
