For the past several weeks there have been plenty of clues indicating that VIVO is working on one or two new impressive smartphones, and today a new contender entered the scene, boasting top-of-the-line hardware specifications.
To be more precise, a spec sheet listing the alleged hardware specs of an upcoming VIVO flagship phone has recently been leaked via the Chinese social network known as Weibo, and assuming that these hardware characteristics are legit, what we’re looking at is a device capable of going head-to-head with the most powerful handsets currently available on the market. More details right after the break.
Leaked Spec Sheet Hints at an Upcoming VIVO Flagship
While the fabled ultra-thin VIVO X5 Max appears to getting closer to the finish line, the Chinese manufacturer seems to be working on yet another device; this time a powerful beast powered by a Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor and 3 GB of RAM.
The handset is currently know by the model number “PD1305” and according to the leaked spec sheet above, it features a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a screen-to-body ratio of 79.95%. It sports 3GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage (expandable by up to an additional 128 GB via microSD) and makes use of a 13 MP primary camera with optical images stabilization, an f/1.8 aperture and a dual-tone LED flash. On the front panel resides a secondary 8 MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and an 88-degree wide-angle lens.
The mysterious VIVO smartphone appears to run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Funtouch 2.0 on top, and draws its energy from a rather generous 3,500 mAH battery. As is usually the case with some of VIVO’s smartphones, the new contender promises a superior Hi-Fi experience thanks to an ES9018 DAC chip and a Texas Instruments OPA2604 Operational Amplifier.
While no official price has emerged yet, sources speculate that the phone could hit the shelves at around 3,999 yuan (roughly $654) which should place it in the higher-end league. Stick around and we’ll keep you in the loop as soon as we find out more.
