Sprint and HTC have recently announced the upcoming HTC Evo 4G LTE. A while ago, we were thinking about the HTC One X, One V or One S landing on the network. The Sprint and HTC event we heard about was indeed for a new device. Find out what the HTC Evo 4G LTE specs, price and release date are!
Sprint’s HTC Evo 4G LTE comes with some killer specifications. Although the network is not bringing any of the One series devices to its lineup, the Evo 4G LTE has some of those traits. For starters, the sheer looks and the huge amount of cool features tucked in.
With the HTC One X release date at AT&T set for some time in May (at least according to the rumors), Sprint threw in the Evo 4G LTE. The specifications are up there with most upcoming Android smartphones.

Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE - Release Date, Price, Specs – Overview
You have a 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This is one of the best screens out there and on it you will rejoice to find Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich along with HTC Sense 4. We saw some of the features of the HTC Sense 4 UI a while ago.
A 2,000mAh battery provides the power and you will need every drop of it. The Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor at 1.5GHz per core and 4G LTE connectivity. There is also 1 GB of RAM but unlike the HTC One X, the Evo 4G LTE has a micro SD card slot.

The Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE looks brilliant
You will need the extra storage as the handset comes with the same new camera found on the One X. The 8 megapixel rear-facing camera is a beast and the device packs a 1.3 megapixel front-facing shooter. HTC even went through the trouble of adding a dedicated camera button, something I would like to see on more handsets to be quite honest.
The Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE comes with a kickstand, NFC, Google Wallet and feels like an excellent successor to the old EVO 4G. Sprint and HTC really outdid themselves with this one folks.
The best part about it is the fact that this confirms that Sprint’s 4G LTE network is well underway. We recently heard that the LG Viper on Sprint is closing in on its release date and there were plenty of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date on Sprint as well.

The Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE is more than a worthy competitor to the HTC One X!
HTC Evo 4G LTE Release Date at Sprint
If you wish to pick up the new HTC Evo 4G LTE on Sprint, you can pre-order the device starting with May 7 for $200 on a 2-year contract with the network. This is a standard price for handsets in this category and in my view, represents excellent value for money.
As far as an actual HTC Evo 4G LTE release date goes, Sprint has announced that the smartphone will be available sometime in Q2 (April – May – June). We’ll update you as soon as any new info regarding the HTC Evo 4G LTE release becomes available.
Is anyone out there planning on starting to rack up some cash in preparation of May 7?
