HTC One X9: New Release Date and Pricing Rumors

About a week ago, HTC began teasing a new and upcoming smartphone succeeding the One A9, and although this bit of detail has not been officially confirmed, it looks like the Taiwanese manufacturer’s next release will be another mid-range smartphone.

In case you haven’t already guessed, we’re referring to the rumored HTC One X9, which recently became the subject of various leaks and rumors. Furthermore, with HTC already spreading teaser images to build up the hype, it’s logical to assume that the X9’s release is closing in relatively fast.

Sure enough, if the latest rumors are to be believed then the HTC One X9 is less than a couple of months away from its market debut. Also, recent reports also touch on the pricing topic and place the handset in the same range as the A9.

HTC One X9 Release and Pricing Rumors Emerge

As controversial as it may be, the HTC One A9 seems to have helped the Taiwanese manufacturer in stabilizing its sales, with reports claiming that the company recorded a 15% rise in sales in November, compared to a month earlier.

Now HTC is apparently preparing to release a new mid-range smartphone equipped with high-end features, and assuming that the latest reports from ePrice are accurate, then the company’s next smartphone to hit the shelves will be launched shortly after Lunar New Year (February 6-14).

The source adds that the upcoming device is not a flagship phone and that the terminal is, in fact, the HTC One X9. ePrice also adds that the handset should be offered for a price ranging from NT$12,000 to NT$15,000, which translates to roughly US$365 – US$456 at today’s conversion rate.

Although a mid-range smartphone, the HTC One X9 will reportedly boast several high-end features, including a powerful 13 MP primary camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) and RAW support.

Other, previous rumors hint at an UltraPixel front-facing camera, a 5.5-inch display, and a MediaTek Helio X10 SoC under the hood.
