Leaked Huawei Mate 8 Pics Shed Light On Its Design

Last week, the Huawei Mate 8 was brought under the spotlight by various leaks, some of which even gave us a glimpse at the smartphone’s overall design. However, as most of you should be aware of, the majority of leaked photos so far have shown the device wrapped in a protective case that covered most of the smartphone’s exterior, sans the camera, the fingerprint sensor, and the display.

This week, the story of the Huawei Mate 8 takes a giant leap forward, as the smartphone’s design has just been entirely uncovered by a handful of leaked renders.

Take a look at the gallery below, and keep scrolling down for more details.

Huawei Mate 8 Renders Leak

As we’ve already figured out judging by the leaked photos so far, the Huawei Mate 8 is wrapped in metal and features a back-fitted fingerprint recognition sensor neighboring the camera and a dual-LED flash.

But one major design cue that wasn’t uncovered by the previously leaked images lie in the bezels. They seem to be almost inexistent, and overall, the smartphone can be considered “bezelless” by ZTE’s standards. The top and bottom bezels appear to be very narrow too, meaning that the smartphone should have an impressive screen-to-body ratio.

Otherwise, the handset features a couple of speaker grilles flanking the USB connector on the bottom edge, a volume rocker and power button located on the right-hand edge, and a relatively clean back panel featuring only the camera + LED flash, the fingerprint scanner, and of course, the Huawei logo.

Last but not least, the leaked renders reveal that the handset will be available in three flavors, namely grey, gold, and copper.

The Huawei Mate 8 should pack a large 6-inch 1920 x 1080 display, a Kirin 950 CPU paired with a Mali-T880 graphics chip, 3/4 GB of RAM with 32 / 64 GB of storage, a 16 MP main camera and an 8 MP front-facing sensor.
