Analyst: Huawei Nexus – Next To No Chance For A Snapdragon 820 Inside
Let’s start this piece by saying that contradicting the famous Evan Blass (most of you probably know him by his @evleaks Twitter handle) takes a lot of confidence in your knowledge. Over the last few years, evleaks has well … leaked a lot of stuff from renders to specsheets and everything in between.
Almost everything Evan shared turned out to be accurate, so to see veteran (but not so famous) Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang to come and pretty much dismantle one of Blass’ predictions (or leaks if you like the term better) is flat out courageous and bold. But let’s get to the matter, shall we?
For those of you not up to date yet, a couple of days ago, evleaks claimed that the rumored Huawei Nexus will come with a Snapdragon 820 chipset. However, Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang refuted this claim today, on Weibo. Stay with us for the whole story.
According to Pan Jiutang, the Huawei Nexus smartphone will most likely come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. If you’ve been following us, you might know that this is not the first time this analyst has made the above claim.
Pan goes on saying that, according to his knowledge, most smartphones powered by a Snapdragon 820 chip will be released around March 2016. He also says that we can see the SD 820 in December, at the earliest, powering the rumored Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus. If we assume that everything will fall into place like we described and taking into consideration that, according to the same source, the Huawei Nexus smartphone will see the light of day sometime in November, the Snapdragon 820 and the 2015 Huawei made Nexus smartphone will not be collaborating.
What do you think? If you were to pick sides, which one would you be on? At least they agree that the smartphone will come with a QHD (aka 2K display)…
