Well, folks, it’s that time of the year when rumors regarding the fall line-up of flagships are starting to rear their heads on a regular basis.
One of the most anticipated devices, like every year, seems to be Motorola’s 2015 version of Moto X. And like we’ve expected, during the past couple of weeks we’ve seen some alleged leaks and rumors trying to show us just how the new X will look like and what it will have under its hood.
Today we’ve stumbled on a couple of alleged 2015 Moto X pics which are hinting at the fact that Moto’s 2015 flagship will come with a fingerprint sensor.
Check them out, below.
What you’re seeing above allegedly are pics of the upcoming Moto X’s chassis. And while clearly most of the components are missing, it seems like there is a square cut-out where typically a fingerprint sensor would call its home.
If you remember, last year’s Motorola made Nexus 6 was initially supposed to come with fingerprint scanning features which were eventually scrapped. This happened because Apple called dibs on Autentec, what Denis Woodside (ex Moto CEO) called the best fingerprint sensor supplier, and the second best just wasn’t making sensors good enough for Motorola’s standards.
Now, is what we’re seeing above a Moto made handset? The topside, especially if you look at the first pic, looks very similar to what we’ve come to expect from the now Lenovo owned manufacturer, but let’s wait for some more details to surface before calling this a sure thing.
What do you think?
